Regardless of the challenge, Erik consistently goes above and beyond to serve his clients and get things done. As a business and litigation attorney, Erik brings a practical approach to resolve issues and achieve results for his clients.
Prior to joining Soloway, Erik served clients as in-house counsel and at his own firm. He began his legal career as an in-house attorney at a large technology company where he rose to the position of Associate General Counsel with responsibility for contract drafting and negotiations, litigation, and a broad range of other matters that arose in the course of the company’s business operations.
After graduating from UC San Diego in 2006, Erik put himself through law school by working in software sales and on the legal team at Abacus Data Systems, graduating at the top of his class from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
His experience in selling office virtualization technology and legal practice management solutions gave him a sharp eye for business and legal issues in the modern legal landscape. While collaborating with the General Counsel of a major corporation was fulfilling, Erik found his true passion when working directly with clients, which led him to establish his own law firm in 2017, focusing on employment, litigation, and general counsel services for startups, small businesses, and mid-sized companies.
As a former sales professional and Associate General Counsel to a 200-plus employee corporation, Erik’s varied background provides a greater perspective that produces results. In disputes, he drives efficient and effective dialogue between parties and opposing counsel, with a clear focus on the client’s needs and best interests. Erik draws from his experience to provide superior advocacy and effective legal solutions throughout every representation.
Erik earned his BA from the University of California San Diego and his JD from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law. He is admitted to practice in California.
Erik is a California native who has called San Diego home for over 20 years. He is a steadfast, proud member of the San Diego business community.
